Ownership
Velkie.net is a privately-held entity, an LLC founded and operated by its two co-founders, Alex V. and Jordan K. Our ownership structure is designed to keep our operations lean, agile, and directly accountable to our mission. This allows us to prioritize the user experience and the integrity of our support agent directory above all else. We are not owned by, or affiliated with, any corporate entity or service provider.
Funding
Our financial model is built on a foundation of sustainability and independence. We are primarily a bootstrapped operation, which means our initial development was funded entirely by the founders’ personal capital. This approach allows us to maintain editorial freedom and ensures that our directory listings are never influenced by outside financial pressures.
Our ongoing operational costs are covered through:
- Voluntary Contributions: We may offer an option for users to make small, voluntary donations to support the maintenance of the directory and the addition of new features.
- Ethical Affiliate Partnerships: In the future, we may consider non-intrusive affiliate links to vetted third-party tools or services that are genuinely useful to the Velki support community. Any such partnerships will be clearly disclosed.
We do not accept paid listings, sponsorships, or any other form of advertising that would compromise the integrity of our directory.
Grants
Velkie.net has received one foundational grant to support the initial development of our platform.
- Project Transparency Grant (Q3 2025): We were awarded a grant from the “Digital Community Initiatives Foundation,” a non-profit dedicated to improving transparency and user-centricity in online directories. This grant was specifically used to fund the development of our agent verification protocol and our user feedback system, ensuring the foundational trust of our platform from day one.
